Solution + overview
Picture something in your house breaks, and instead of waiting days for a replacement or heading to the store, you could simply print
the part you need.
That’s the vision Zmorph had for 3D printing—making it easy to create anything, anytime.
I worked on shaping the interface, creating a seamless hub for all their 3D printers,
and helping launch a new machine.
I had the incredibly exciting opportunity to make it all come to life!

Problem
Redesign under pressure
3D printing is a powerful technology, but its complexity can overwhelm users. When I joined Zmorph, the company was at a turning point. Their existing interfaces were causing frustration, with a high volume of customer complaints about usability issues. At the same time, after securing an angel investment, the company made a bold commitment—to deliver a unified hub for all their products within a year. This meant not only improving the interfaces of existing machines but also designing the experience for a brand-new device, all while ensuring a seamless, user-friendly workflow across the entire ecosystem.
Key Decisions
01
User interviews: engage with users to uncover frustrations and set a clear vision
02
Product discovery: map out products features and align them with buisness goals
03
Internal UX Workshops: organize meetings to build UX awareness and empower employees
04
Put Users First: Focus on making the interface simple and accessible
Process
Emphatize. Innovate. Integrate
I dove deep into user feedback, uncovering the pain points and untapped opportunities that were holding our products back. I reimagined workflows that felt natural and turned those ideas into quick prototypes, testing and refining them until they were just right.
Each version was rigorously tested and refined, ensuring our designs not only looked good but truly worked for our users. Along the way, I collaborated with teams across departments, aligning our design choices with the broader business strategy. This creative, iterative process was all about making 3D printing feel as intuitive and accessible as possible.
I also helped build a central hub connecting all our printers and contributed to shaping parts of the physical machine.

Learning
Iterate. Test. Improve
This project was a masterclass in transforming complexity into simplicity. I learned that listening to users is an incredible superpower—uncovering insights that guide us toward better solutions. Iteration wasn’t just a step in the process; it was the secret sauce that refined every aspect of the design. Continuous iteration—through rapid prototyping, usability testing, and performance metrics analysis—proved essential in refining our solutions.
And when teams truly embrace UX thinking, the possibilities become endless, driving innovation and turning challenges into opportunities.
And finally, we did it—we merged technical innovation with practical usability, delivering a comprehensive platform that became a recognizable standard in the industry.
